Cali Trip 2011-2012

On a whim Ben and I booked a flight to San Jose the day after Christmas. Having a place to stay was lined up thanks to Matt Z and a dream for us both was a flight away. With my luck my iPhone 4 lasted 20 minutes into the flight with not complimentary charging options on this flight. The on board movie can’t remember it.

First stop, the dispensary (C4 strain ★★★★★)
and second Roosevelt Skate Park – S 20th St, San Jose, CA 95116 ★★★★
Note: skatepark was semi-coated in cooking oil as a gang retaliation at the skatepark.

We me Lee at the park and later on Scrappy his dog. He tagged along being on break from college classes and offered a spot to stay. We even got the lowdown on a d.i.y. skate ditch spot up on the coast near Santa Cruz.

We were given a drawing and street name Highway 1 and Swanton Road. Another spot gone to the dust now home to a berry & solar farm. We used google maps and found the place check out that satellite view. The beach across the street had a great view.

A successful adventure ending at the Santa Cruz skatepark and a good dinner afterwards. Check out Scrappy meeting us for the first time he was one of the coolest!
